We align learning to our students' specific interests to guide learning. Our Learning Center teaches many special needs students including students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Students with ASD often present specific interests and tend to remain consistent to the interests they love! Some of our students will only read specific titles, currently, that is Pete the Cat books. Groovy, man! Funding our book list for Pete the Cat books will help students with specific interests learn to love to read! Additionally, funding our list will give students an assortment of beginning readers at their reading level with motivating content accessible to all students in the Learning Center.
