Having a class set (16) of Boogie Board Jot Memo Pads would greatly benefit the students in my classroom because they love to use alternative forms of technology and different mediums to learn. While the Jot Memo Pad isn’t an electronic writing tablet which needs to be plugged in and charged to operate, the Jot Pad can be used as a writing tablet. The Boogie Board Memo Pad eliminates the need for paper, scratchpads, sticky notes, dry eraser markers and much more. Just simply write and erase with the push of a button. The durable, ultra-lightweight LCD writing screen is engineered to feel just like writing with pen on paper. The image stays as long as you need it to and can be erased on demand. Create again and again, without the need to charge or connect. The Boogie Board will make a difference in my student’s learning by providing us with a different way to learn together. With the Jot Pad, we can do math games and quizzes where the students display their answer and their work on the screen, my students could practice their handwriting with the Jot Pad as well as write short stories on the Memo Pad. The Jot Memo Pad would be a great way for students to also communicate with one another during teamwork activities where they are encouraged to work quietly but also work together. Students could ask one another questions. In addition to using the Jot Memo Pad for teamwork activities, the Memo Pad could also be used as a means of confidential communication between student and teacher to prevent embarrassment from other students. Lastly, the Memo Pad could serve as a place for students to write down words or phrases that would help them remember important information.
