Our goal is to build a raised garden bed in our school common areas to serve as a space to watch Bay County come back to life after the devastation of Hurricane Michael. We would aim to plant indigenous plant species, build a bee house and bug hotel, as well as create rain barrels to catch rain that would otherwise run off into our town where root systems are decimated. This garden would be a student planted, maintained and later harvested green space, and serve as an extension of our classroom, where we will be having classes in modulars for the rest of the school year.
