Author Deborah Copaken Kogan describes Naked Economics as a book that does the impossible. "It makes the study of economics fascinating, comprehensible, and laugh-out-loud funny." I hope to use Naked Economics as required reading in my economics class to engage students in peer and class discussions to get them excited about economics. I hope this excitement translates into a quest for a deeper understanding and entry into the National Economic Challenge competition. I want students to be able to understand how individuals, firms, and societies use their scarce resources. Understanding and being able to predict human behavior is what makes economics the social science of sustainability.
