These materials will help make science real for my high school forensic science class. The course is very much hands-on, and these supplies will enhance some of the activities that we already have. I have more students in more sections of the course this year than I ever have before. It is growing exponentially and my district cannot keep up with purchasing supplies. I have found the most successful way to make real-world connections and teach students to love science is by having them actually do science! I have included fingerprint materials and full crime scene kits as well as mystery stories to keep their brains engaged. By having them complete the activities, they will be applying all of the science they have learned.
