Easily-moved tables and chairs allow students to participate in a variety of activities and encourage collaborative learning experiences. While these tables are designed for group work that requires interaction and collaboration, they also offer a personal work space for students as well. For those times when students need privacy for testing or focus, privacy folders can be used to secure student's personal space. The table and chairs allow instructors and students the opportunity to customize their space for the activity at hand, since both can easily be changed from lecture mode to independent or team work, to presentation, to discussion and back again. Tables and chairs provide students the opportunity to participate in a community of practice with other students to share insights.
