The use of a coffee cart would increase the number of opportunities our students would have to create a social interaction with adults and non-disabled peers throughout the school. Our students and their peer buddies would learn how to operate the cart, how to exchange money and give the correct change to the customer, and obtain confidence within themselves to engage in social conversations. With your help, our students would become more successful and confident in communicating with others. For some students, conversations happen naturally. But for our students, conversations take time, practice, and effort to create dialogue between two people. Help us instill confidence and success within our students through the use of a coffee cart!

About my class
