Our middle school program is growing to include 7th grade next year and 8th grade for the 2023 academic year. The sports equipment will be used by the current and future middle school classes. I want to provide my students with the opportunities to learn to play sports. Help them build teamwork skills as well as take leadership roles. A love for spots can lead to healthier minds and bodies. Our goal at our school is to help students achieve their potential! We will be learning the following units this academic year: 1. Soccer- Soccer balls will allow all my students to practice soccer drills, 3 per soccer ball, ideal for running drills. 2. Basketball- The three basic drills are passes, bouncing the ball, and practice shots. 3. Strength Training & Cardio/Dance - This includes curl ups, squats, planks, as well as salsa, cumbia, and bachata. 4. Football - We will be playing flag football for the first time! 5. Softball - This will be a transition from kickball. Students will need to practice catching and throwing with tennis balls first but will transition to softballs. This an introduction and will allow for more practice in 7th and 8th grade.
