The students in my class vary in their reading ability between first and fifth grade. As a first year teacher, I can't provide books at each of their interest on my own. My students love a challenge and they ask to read books for their free time. I want to give my students the best books for their free time and author study projects as well as to work on their independent goals as students with disabilities. My students crave stories, poems, and creativity! I love seeing them go to our school library and ask for certain books. When they can't go to the library I want them to be able to find a plethora of enjoyable books within reach.
