Can you focus when you are hungry? Well, neither can my students. I have students who arrive late and don't get to school in time to eat breakfast. If they don't eat, then they can't focus on the learning because they are so caught up in how their stomach feels. I usually save a basket of leftover breakfast or snacks in the back of my classroom to give to these students but right now it is empty. That is why I have requested a variety of healthy snacks that are mostly protein. Students need protein to supplement school breakfast and lunches. I envision using the food from this project to feed my students when they are hungry.

About my class
