Being an active and knowledgeable citizen is so important in today's world! When children understand current events, why they happened, and the larger impact they have on the world, they grow into competent, passionate, and informed adults. We are requesting a subscription to Scholastic News which will allow my learners to understand the many important events that are happening today around the world. We will read these in class and discuss these events together.Scholastic News magazines also foster reading comprehension skills, and social awareness in the classroom. I have seen the hunger for this information in our discussions of the world around us. It is important for children to learn about the events happening in their world and how it affects them. Scholastic News allows children to access that knowledge in an age-appropriate and engaging manner.

About my class
