“Get up and get moving!” This is what I tell my students daily when I feel like we need to get our creative juices flowing. Students spend so much time at a desk all day that it’s nice to get up and find somewhere comfortable where they can relax and focus on their work. When students feel comfortable and happy they’re more likely to produce better work. I know that when my students are happy, they are engaged and excited to learn. With the cushions added to chairs, it will keep kids more engaged during our small group time which is crucial in trying to reach each student and their needs. With the couch and floor seating, students can get comfortable and focused on their work during workshop time or lost in their favorite book during our independent reading time. With flexible seating, I believe this will make our classroom an even better space for learning. By donating to our project that is what you will provide my students with: comfort and engagement.
