The purpose of multi differentiated seating in the classroom is to release tension and anxiety while allowing the students to remain on task and focused. The balance balls will help the students who have a difficult time sitting still. These will enable students to either roll around or rock back and forth while they work without disturbing others. The balance boards will let the students release energy through their feet and legs without having to leave their seats or tapping loudly, causing disturbances in the classroom. Giving the students a choice, even the simple choice of choosing the type of seat, will help them feel that they have some control of their learning.
