This project will allow each of my students to have his or her own copy of the novel, The Outsiders. This will not only help my students feel invested in the book, but it will also help us go deeper in citing evidence from the text because students will be able to mark their text. In addition, the audio book will help me make sure that all levels of readers are able to access the text and support them in building reading fluency. The books will be critical in helping my students meet the standards while fostering a love of reading.
