We are requesting LEGO blocks which will enable students to work cooperatively to build, plan and focus on building and construction in a hands-on creative approach. With these resources students will complete projects for Visual Arts Classes. Students will view Power Points on various styles and types of architecture through history to present. Students will work together to create architectural designs. This year we are focusing on "Dream Schools" for the AIA architecture contest. Students will utilize LEGO blocks to build their ideas before they draw them, enabling them to visualize, plan, and collaborate. Students will then draw their final plan to be entered into the contest as well as be on display at school. LEGO blocks will also be utilized with students that have special needs. Working with the blocks can be easier for them to master and enhances their comprehension of objectives.
