I am reaching out to diversify some of my resources to better meet the individual needs of my students. Most of my students receive occupational therapy, so the “my first washable markers” and “easy- squeeze fine motor scoops” serve to help with fine motor skills, but also allow the students to be more successful in the activities they participate in during class, such as counting, writing, and categorizing objects. Social- emotional education is a driving factor when working with students with Autism. I would love to have the “moods and emotions mirrors” to supplement my lessons on emotions in order to give them the opportunity to make a concrete connection between the abstract concepts of feelings and what each emotion looks like in their own body.
