Thinking about the supplies I need the most for my classroom was not hard at all: leveled readers for my 1st graders. The books I have chosen for my project will help tremendously in my classroom from progress monitoring students' reading levels to small group intervention. They should have a book in front of them that is not going to frustrate or deflate them, but instead a book that will build them up and give them confidence in reading. With these leveled books for my classroom library I hope to do just that. My students range from a Kindergarten reading level all the way up to a 3rd grade reading level, so this is something that will be used by every student in the classroom! It will give them the opportunity to explore different topics, but also help them build their reading skills along the way.
