The SANHO Yopo Dynamic Movement Sensory Body Sock and Tote Around Turtle will be utilized to address sensory needs of students. Trialing various forms of sensory input can provide nformation to develop a sensory program for students to increase their participation and cooperation within the classroom setting on a regular basis. Some of my students are working on handwriting and do better on an elevated surface, which is where the School Specialty slant big board would increase their visual attention and the legibility of their writing. The Raised line cutting practice pad will be used by students working on cutting on the line, limiting amount of deviations. WIKKI STIX alphabet cards and Erasable Traceable will be utilized as alternative methods to practice letter formation. Learning Resources Mini Muffin Match Up Counting, Melissa & Doug Pattern Blocks and Boards, Educational Insights 4112 Design and Drill Activity Center, and Squigz will be utilize to work on strengthening fine motor skills, problem solving skills, cognitive perceptual, and visual motor skills. When asked about OT, one of my students said, "It does not matter how sad, angry, or frustrated you may feel because when you go to OT you feel like you can do anything.” The Honey-Can-Do Rolling Storage Cart and Organizer with 12 Plastic Drawers would serve as a storage unit for the other items requested for this project. Being able to provide an environment that is conducive to the strengthening the skills my student's possess, trialing sensory items to increase their alertness or provide them with a calming feel, and manipulate the environment to increase their independence is a great privilege. Thank you for taking the time to read out our Occupational Therapy project, all donations are greatly appreciated!
