With the Kindle e-reader, I will be able to upload a variety of texts and the students can use the dictionary features to help them understand context. It will also allow students whose primary language is not English the chance to read the same text in their native language so they do not feel left out of the discussion. Students will be able to access more updated texts with stories that are relevant to their current interests. Most of our campuses are using textbooks that are at least 10 years old and available funds have gone to hurricane repairs instead.
