Theatre is a life-changing experience for many people. I requested a series of masks for performing groups to use to create characters. Often my students are afraid to try something new and a mask provides that sense of security. I also chose these masks because the creative impetus is still on the students. What better way to entertain than using this mask as a springboard to basic character creation? Both the performer and the audience are transformed through performance and what better way to transform than to use the classic mask and all of its magic.
