Having speakers for our programs would allow scholars to take pride in their projects and their annual celebrations of learning. When students work so hard to put together a Powerpoint, musical selection, or spoken word piece it is already difficult getting up to perform in front of an audience. It makes it even more difficult if teachers have to use their personal cell phones to present sound to the auditorium. It also frustrates the audience not being able to hear what scholars have worked so hard on. Having a set of speakers would promote confidence within the students and allow them not to have to worry about if they can be heard while performing or showcasing a project.
