Flexible (alternative) seating has been shown in studies to improve student's level of learning. I have several students with attention deficit issues who would benefit greatly from an opportunity to learn while in motion. An investment in classroom seating is an investment in a child's ability to learn with stamina and increased attention. My vision is to provide students with several types of seating in order to increase their capacity for learning and stamina in reading, writing, and math. The vision for alternative seating is a studied and proven alternative to uncomfortable chairs with straight backs. Because of this proven and effective alternative, I am hopeful to be able to provide this for my students.
