These books will continue to encourage students to develop a love of reading. Students will be out of school for approximately two weeks, and few have access to age appropriate books. Studies show that if students are reading behind grade level in third grade, they are 4 times more likely to drop out of high school. We can stop that. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind-I have watched them the past few weeks of school read titles just like these, and I have also asked them what type of books they would enjoy reading. Students will be able to take these books home and begin to create their own libraries outside of school. Thank you so much for helping me ensure that all students win.
