During whole group instruction and table time, students need to be able to focus and pay attention. Whole group instruction is the foundation for moving forward with a concept or skill. Often, when students sit to close to each other on the rug, they get into each other's personal space and they get distracted. The squiggle chairs would allow students to separate themselves from one another. In addition, these chairs would also allow students to quietly and without distracting others move around a bit. The design of the chairs will help students to be upright and alert while it also supports them to stay grounded and focused. The Surf Portable Lap Desk will allow students a flexible seating arrangement where they can find a place of their choice away from distractions.
