Students will first learn the development of chick embryos before we start this project. While the eggs are in the incubator, students will use the egg candler to see the embryo while it grows. This project will allow students to be in control of their own learning. Students will see first hand how a chick embryo grows, hatches, and get to grow the chickens until they start producing eggs. Once the chicks are hatched students will learn the basic needs of animal care. We will also learn how the USDA grades eggs and poultry products. With the items gained from this project, we will be able to have sustainable agriculture and teaching for years to come.

About my class
