These materials will be instrumental in enhancing their academic vocabulary when reading fiction, nonfiction, and informational text. These students have lost not only their school but their educational materials as well. Teachers have lost instructional materials and resources during the devastation of Hurricane Florence. The Vocabulary Lessons 101 and Vocabulary Games will be a fun and creative way to enrich our literacy blocks. They will be placed at literacy stations so that leveled reading groups can use them based upon their knowledge and ability levels. That way lessons can be differentiated for each student. These materials will supplement our much needed literature curriculum.
