Flexible seating options will allow my students to learn in comfort. Our classroom has desks with small writing surfaces that are attached to the main part of the desk. Some students are uncomfortable in these desks because their height prevents them from sitting comfortably. Think about it: don't you want to get comfy to read a good book? A welcoming and comfortable space can open doors to engage students and stimulate dynamic learning. We are slowly adding different furniture options, comfy reading nooks, pillows, carpets, and lamps to create an inviting atmosphere for a love of reading. I want my students to be able to find a good book, snuggle up and let the book take them away!
