The fifth-graders at our school have been a great help in organizing the school library. Unfortunately, even though they are among the tallest students in the school many of them cannot reach the top shelves. As difficult as this is for them it becomes extremely difficult for our younger students. The Cramer 1001-01 Kik Step Rolling Step Stools that I've requested would help even the smallest of our students reach the upper shelves. These students are all anxious to learn and "library day" is one of their favorite specials of the week. This is a small school with shared spaces. For example, the cafeteria doubles as the gym and art class. The library shares space with the computer lab and the school's central hallway. Ideally, I'd like to have shelving that is no more than 3 or 4 feet off the floor. However, with the number of books in the school library, there isn't enough space for shorter shelves.
