Over-ear headphones would be helpful to my students in more ways than one. We are fortunate enough to have laptops for the students to utilize during the school day, however we do not have access to headphones. Computer literacy is crucial to long-term success in today's society but my students are often discouraged because they cannot hear the online content or they are distracted by the content on someone else's laptop. We utilize an individualized learning program called i-Ready that enables students to review and practice material on their level. The program has proven to be successful, however it relies on videos and other interactive elements that the students need to be able to hear. Additionally, in order to prepare students for the standardized testing at the end of the year we try to familiarize students with online test-taking. Headphones would encourage them to stay engaged and focused. Headphones would allow my students to focus more on their individualized learning plans and minimize distractions during test-taking. These headphones are easy to clean and can be used in years to come, making this project a worthwhile investment. My students ask for headphones on a daily basis and with your help I would love to be able to fulfill this wish for them. Thank you!
