As my first graders are emerging readers, we work very hard in first grade to become fluent readers. There is A LOT of growth that happens in the lives of a first grader. My students LOVE games. I am always in search of ways to engage students in mastering their sight words, and there are SO many wonderful engaging sight word games for children, on Amazon! Students will play these games to help them learn their sight words at a literacy workstation in my classroom. Mastering their sight words is a year long process (there are over 100 words) that requires hard work. A game makes it more fun!
