The selected books have withstood the test of time and provide quality literary explorations through thought-provoking and heartfelt themes. The books will be read throughout the course of the school year and connect to social studies concepts such as the study of Native Americans, slavery, and the history of the U.S. Our school does not have a library. Additionally, we lost our school's campus to the 2018 Kilauea eruption and some resources could not be saved. These books will go towards rebuilding some of what was lost and be part of a classroom library for future use. Mahalo!
