The materials we are asking for (shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows) will help my students complete a garden project that they have high hopes and aspirations for. I've supplied materials from my own home to help them but we simply do not have sufficient supplies for everyone. With our project, students will learn in a hands on way that will help develop their communication and their collaborative skills. Working on this project is also nurturing a love for our planet and a sense of responsibility and duty towards our world. We believe it's important for our students to take pride in their work and to experience a different kind of labor that is not paper and pencil.
