There are many manipulatives needed to help increase the academics (reading and math basic skills), fine motor, and daily living skills for the K-2 Special Education Learners in this newly developed classroom at Level Green. The Bingo, fishing, cutters, etc. will help the students gain the skills needed to continue to increase their mastery in yearly goals and daily functional skills. This will give them a multitude of ways to engage and learn some basic skills. The materials listed will be utilized throughout the classroom in the various stations. Some of the materials will even be used for independent work centers. Activities for Daily Living is a center that many of the materials will be used in, such as working through a task analysis of cutting skills and using fine motor skills for each individual student.
