My students math knowledge and skill levels vary in all math classes. Their skills range from grades 2 through 6 in basic operations and math facts. Due to this hindrance, using calculators will provide the students greater opportunities to engage in higher level math scenarios, access more applications and math programs that will help increase their knowledge and skills. Students will learn how to use calculators accurately and effectively in both the classroom and everyday living experiences. Students will be encouraged to use calculators for their math calculations to achieve greater proficiency. The additional practice and calculators will provide access to life and money management skills with success. Calculators and visuals are essential tools to support greater success. It is equally important to foster a positive environment where learning math as well as appreciating it practical use in our every day lives. Posters provide great visuals that reflect these important values and uses; our personal finances, our careers and daily living situations.
