I would like to have a listening center and extra headphones for my classroom. The listening center and headphones will be used during guided reading rotations. Students can listen to a CD as a group, or they can listen to a book on the computer. They can even use the headphones to reduce distractions and focus on their work. My students love to read, and be read to, so this new listening center will help foster their love of reading. Students will also be able to research information, that may be above their reading level and have that information read to them. These headphones will allow students to research quietly, or have a book read to them without distracting others around them.
