Our 5th grade students enjoy working cooperatively. We encourage collaboration with many different people to accomplish learning goals in multiple subject areas. Laptop computers help students access many different areas that they need for their learning. These lap desks will enable students to move around the room to work in flexible/versatile project groups. They will also help students that may need a quiet spot to be able to safely take the laptops to an adjacent work space in nooks in the hallway. Students will feel empowered to move around to many different groups to collaborate as they work. This will also support those students that may need a non-traditional "desk". The kids would love to be in charge of where they work!
