My students love technology but struggle with the computer mouse. They also have a hard time using the laptop touch pads. The Smart Board in my classroom is placed too high for students to reach the top of the screen. The Kindle Fire tablets are ideal because they are touch screen tablets that can be used easily by children of all ages. My students will have access to a plethora of books and educational apps and videos. They will be able to have more independent reading time with the tablets because they will have access to audio books, games, ​and videos that can be tailored to their individual reading and cognitive levels.
