I have chosen items that will help my FCS kitchens run smoothly. Many of the items I want are in need of replacing, because they have been used for many years. My students use these items every time they enter the cooking lab. I have six classes that use these items on a daily basis for weeks at a time. Each time a class cooks they also have to wash and dry the items they use. Our cloths and towels are threadbare! My students spend a lot of time learning how to measure properly using customary dry measuring cups and spoons. The current sets they use are old and bend easily. The FCS classes have been using the same sets since 1995 and I really want my students to have dependable equipment to use in the kitchen.
