My students are part of a schoolwide project based learning service project for Monarch Awareness. My students will be using the maps and globes to learn about the states and countries where the Monarchs migrate. They will use the culinary resources to gain understanding of what foods pollinators help to grow. The books will help students to learn about the life cycle of the butterfly, gardens, and migration. This project will help students build social emotional skills for social awareness and empathy, as well contribute to their efforts to meet the Sustainable Global Goal #15, Life on Land, by helping to build a habitat, and bringing awareness to the plight of the Monarch butterflies, and #4 Quality Education for all. These resources will help my students have the same quality learning experiences as the rest of the school population, and provide them the scaffolding they need for equity in education, to enjoy both academic and social success.
