My students are special education students in the fifth grade that are currently reading on average at the second grade level. The items requested will give them a lot of hands on practice building words and sentences using the magnetic letters and magnetic boards and desk-top easels. They will also benefit from the voice recorder. The students will use the voice recorder to record themselves reading. When students are able to listen to what they sound like, they are motivated to make improvements. My students are from low-income households that receive free lunch. They will benefit from snacks because they are the last group to eat lunch.
