Children come to school with a natural curiosity that must be nurtured with exploration. This STEM station will promote collaboration and problem solving while building knowledge about the world all around. The STEM kit was specially developed to help children think like real scientists and engineers as they explore the STEM design process and solve problems—students plan, build and test their designs, then improve them until they are successful. The kit comes packed with everything needed to work through exciting challenges plus detailed lesson plans that make it easy to focus students’ learning and explain the STEM concepts behind each challenge. The kits also include problem solving that ties right into our literature units. We can read about science, but science comes to life when it's hands-on! We celebrate with brain breaks and movement, so the surround sound speaker will be a wonderful addition inside and outside our classroom! These materials will make a huge difference in my students' learning by building on their natural curiosity to explore.
