Our school is a diverse public middle school in the Bay Area of California. I teach in a dual-immersion Spanish-English language program in which native speakers of Spanish learn both in Spanish and English alongside native English speakers. The goal of our program is to graduate bilingual, bi-cultural students who are ready to excel in high school and beyond. The students are very active, enthusiastic learners who work as a team, as they have since kindergarten.
