As a charter school, we do not have the funds for 1-to-1 technology resourcing. Currently, my students often have to wait for or go without technology for many learning experiences due to the high demand for shared tech resources in our school. With access to these Chromebooks in our classroom, my students will be able to make use of engaging and effective programs during math and literacy stations. Some specific math programs include Zearn and IXL for practice and progress monitoring. Readworks and Quill are two websites that would be used for practicing reading and writing skills. Having these four Chromebooks available in our classroom would also mean less waiting and easier access to technology in other areas of need, such as research for science and social studies projects. Technology is a critical component of modern classrooms and I hope to receive funding for these Chromebooks to help my students be as successful and engaged in their learning experiences as possible!
