It a great day to learn something new! Please take a moment to learn about my class and our special need for technology. My name is Kim Jones I am a 26-year veteran kindergarten teacher. I have the privilege of spending my day with 22 of the most eager and creative group of kindergarten students you could imagine. We share a space of courage, love, and respect. We share hugs, pats on the back and yes, sometimes tears. We set goals and aspirations for our bright futures. We share our lives and we will forever be connected in our hearts. My mission is to provide as many learning opportunities as possible to assure ALL of my students are successful. I want to create an "Aisle 9" tablet work station in my classroom. This station will serve to "clean up" any academic challenges, which all students face. Whether it be the need for remediation in a specific area of concern or the need for more challenging content for those who are ready to fly ahead. The tablets will be used in the five content areas of mathematics, literacy, math, science/STEM/STEAM, and social studies. My class is in need of 6 iPads to create a student work station. The tablets will be rotated among groups to ensure EVERY child has access to approximately 1 hour per week of in-class screen time under a direct instruction or teacher monitored scenario. This technology will allow me to provide catered learning opportunities for every child in my classroom. Please consider donating to our project because we desperately need a "clean-up on Aisle 9".
