I have the pleasure of working with forty-five amazing kindergarten students. All of my students come to school eager and motivated to learn! Unfortunately, our students have had a rough beginning this year. We were hit by Hurricane Florence pretty hard, and we just returned to school less than one month ago with a classroom completely different from the one we left it. Many of the resources and materials in our classroom were damaged; our walls that were once filled with instructional visuals are bare, and much needed organizational and instructional materials are gone. We are asking for your help to rebuild these areas in our classroom. With your help, I would love to add necessary visuals back into my classroom for my kindergarteners to fully grasp concepts such as a new world map, a rainbow for our Rainbow Words sight word program, and various instructional posters. I need the organizational materials I once had in order for my classroom to run smoothly such as an organizational cart, letter trays, and storage containers. Lastly, my students deserve to have instructional resources to help them learn the best they can such as fine motor tools like pencil grips for proper handwriting, jumbo crayons, and other resources like alphabet and math games. My students are resilient in that they are putting the trauma the hurricane has caused them behind every single day they come into my classroom with a positive attitude, infectious smile, and an inquisitive mindset. Please help my students reach their full potential- we will greatly appreciate it!
