Having a class set of To Kill a Mockingbird: A Graphic Novel will allow my students to engage with an award-winning, timeless novel in a new, visual way! Students will be able to read the text easily in this condensed version as well as interpret and analyze visual storytelling. Students often struggle with Lee's vocabulary and storytelling, and this graphic novel gives extra support to help with understanding and comprehension. I have low readers and EL students that benefit very much from a visual text, but I believe that all of my students can benefit from visual storytelling.
