For seventeen days my students were out of school following Hurricane Michael's landfall. This is equivalent to missing nearly one month of academic instruction. My students are diligently working to make strides in their learning, even with the interruption of a natural disaster. They need resources such as an iPad, and Osmo Pizza Learning Kit to enhance their desire to reach academic goals and objectives in the area of math. Based on the beginning of the year data, from various research-based assessments, the the area of concern for my class is math. This set of students thrive from using technology, STEM activities, and project-based learning assignments to demonstrate their understanding of the Florida State Standards. These resources would allow my students the opportunity to bridge the gaps in their learning during daily small group rotations while stimulating their passion of learning.
