Stories connect us and help us learn about the world around us. Stories can also help us feel seen and understood. The picture books we read in class should be windows and mirrors for our kids: windows into new experiences and different places, and mirrors that are similar to their own lives. The books in this project will give my students those windows and mirrors. These diverse books will inspire us to share our own stories. The project includes microphones we will use to record our writing. Combined with student drawings, we will create meaningful digital books about our world.
