This is a novel set that I would like to use in my classroom. The novel (The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane) is a remarkable novel. The students are able to use the novel to learn about historical events that took place as well as advance their own literacy skills. Along with the novel, there are STEM projects that students can do that will advance their level of understanding as well. By donating to their project, you will not only advance the literacy skills of these students; but you will help a group of students fall in love with novels again. The particular novel is above their individual Lexile level; making it a wonderful novel that can be done in a whole group setting. The language and vocabulary that go along with the novel will enhance their language and literacy skills. My goal is the dive deeper into the novel to allow the students a chance to make their own comparisons with the characters within the story to their own individual lives.
