Having flexible seating in our classroom will help students to integrate auditory, visual, and tactile systems of the body. Flexible seating allows students of all walks, to be successful. We're giving students a choice of where to sit. It’s very powerful when kids feel like they have choice and a voice. It builds trust and mutual respect. Children need to move. The SoftZone Floor Cushions will allow students to sit or lay comfortably, on the ground while they work independently or collaboratively with their peers. Flexible seating allows them to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength. It helps keep young minds more alert and focused.
